This guide explains the steps to sign in to the Taka system securely, including the multi-factor authentication (MFA) process when it is enabled. By following this guide, only authorized users can access the system. Follow each step below to ensure the login process runs smoothly.

1. Access the Login Page

Open the Taka site in your browser using the link provided by our team, or type the following URL: http://yourdomain.com/.

2. Choose an Authentication Method and Enter Your Credentials

Once the Sign In page opens, choose an authentication method using the tabs at the top of the form:

  • Default: Sign in using a local account registered in the system (email and password).
  • LDAP: Sign in using your organization's directory service account (such as Active Directory or an LDAP Server), if LDAP integration has been configured.

Next, fill in the fields according to the method you selected:

Default

  • Email: Enter the email address registered in the system.
  • Password: Enter your account password. Use the eye icon on the right side of the field to show or hide the password.

Click the Login button to continue. If you do not have an account, click the Sign Up link below the Login button.

LDAP

  • Username: Enter the username of your directory service account.
  • Password: Enter the password for that account. Use the eye icon on the right side of the field to show or hide the password.

Click the Login with LDAP button to continue.

3. Validate the Email Format

The system checks whether the email format you entered is correct.

If the email format is invalid:

  • The message "Please enter a valid email address" appears.
  • Check and re-enter your email in the correct format.

4. Verify the Registered Email

Once the email format is correct, the system checks whether the email is already registered and verified.

If the email is not yet registered or verified:

  • The system displays the message "Invalid email. Your email may not be verified or registered."
  • Check the email address you entered, or contact your system administrator.

5. Verify the Password

If the email is valid and registered, the system verifies your password.

If the password is incorrect:

  • The message "An unexpected error occurred." appears.
  • Make sure there are no typing errors, then try to log in again.

6. Successful Login Process

If the email and password are correct, you will be directed to an additional authentication step (if MFA is enabled), or straight to the dashboard (if MFA is not used).

7. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Check

The system checks whether your account has the MFA feature enabled.

  • Without MFA, you are directed straight to the main page of the system.
  • With MFA, continue to the next step.

8. Choose an MFA Method

If your account uses MFA, two methods are available to choose from:

a. Email OTP

  • The system sends an OTP code to your email.
  • Open your email inbox, then copy the OTP code that was sent.
  • Enter the code into the authentication form.

b. TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password)

  • Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator).
  • Enter the displayed code into the authentication form.

9. Verify the MFA Code

  • If the code you entered is correct, you will be logged in successfully.
  • If the code is incorrect or has expired, the system will ask you to enter the MFA code again.

10. Login Successful

You have successfully signed in to the system and will be directed to the dashboard according to your access rights.

The login process is complete, and you can start using the system.

By following the steps above, you can sign in to Taka smoothly. If you experience any issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
